Question 1

How does race mode work?

Accepted Answer

You're shown a passage of text and race against AI opponents to finish it first. Each opponent types at a fixed WPM — Slowpoke (20 WPM), Steady (35 WPM), Speedy (55 WPM), and Pro (80 WPM). Your real-time progress is shown alongside theirs as you type.

Question 2

Does race mode help improve typing speed?

Accepted Answer

Many typists find it helps. Racing against opponents creates mild competitive pressure that can push you to type faster than in a solo practice session, and it can be useful when you feel stuck at a plateau.

Question 3

Are the opponents real people?

Accepted Answer

No — all opponents are AI bots with fixed speed profiles. This makes races consistent and fair regardless of time of day or traffic.

Question 4

What difficulty should I start with?

Accepted Answer

Start with Slowpoke (20 WPM) or Steady (35 WPM) if you're a beginner. Move to Speedy (55 WPM) once you're consistently hitting 50+ WPM in speed tests, and challenge Pro (80 WPM) when you're ready to push your upper limit.
