TypeForge ("we," "us," or "our") is a typing practice platform intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. This service is not directed at children under 18. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using TypeForge, you agree to this policy.

We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the service:

• Typing performance data — WPM, accuracy, consistency scores, weak-key accuracy statistics, lesson progress (stars, completed lessons), and race results.
• Session data — which mode (Foundations / Improve & Compete) you've selected, your lesson progress, and total practice time.
• Account email — only if you choose to register for an account. Guest use requires no account information.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, payment information, or any sensitive personal information.

Guest users: All progress (lesson stars, typing stats, race results, settings) is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data will erase your progress.

Registered users: If you create an account, your progress is synced to our servers so it persists across devices. Your account email is stored securely and used only for authentication and account recovery.

TypeForge uses browser localStorage for app functionality — saving your typing progress, mode preference, dark mode setting, and consent preferences. We do not use first-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking cookies.

TypeForge may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks. These services may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to TypeForge and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers directly. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Infrastructure providers (hosting, database) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
• Ad networks: As described in Section 5, third-party ad networks may receive cookie/tracking data through their own technologies placed on our site.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Guest data lives only in your browser and is deleted when you clear your browser storage.

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Correct inaccurate information on your account.
